A Little About Me

Hi there! I’m Claire, and I’ve been working in the animal care industry for 25 years.

I started off as a kennel attendant at a boarding facility in Sydney, then moved to the Animal Welfare League for 5 years, where I worked at both shelters. During my time there, I completed my certificate in animal care & behaviour.

I’ve also completed Animal Studies Certificate 2, Companion Animal Certificate 3 and Introduction to feline behaviour and captive animals certificate 3 at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. The past 12 years have seen me working at Bathurst and Dubbo Greyhound clubs and 4 of those were spent working at Furney’s Pet-Xtra as the groomer.

Now I’m so excited to be the owner of Fancy Pawz Dog Grooming for the past year!
